SMPAC and Semillas para el Futuro works with qualified professional Mayanists to contribute to the preservation and study of the major Maya city that lies beneath the present Guatemalan village of Chocolá. The SMPAC Archaeological Commitee's role is to review development projects in Chocolá and to advise on the possible impact on the archaeological site.
